The #2 athlete of ever is Barry Bonds. All-time homerun King. Only player in the 400 Hr 400 SB club, or 500 500, or 600 500, or 700 500. Most BB's of all time --2,558. 3rd in MLB history in runs scored -- 2,227 (only behind Ricky and Cobb). 8-time Gold Glove winner, and we could go on and on. No one, in all honesty, has ever been smarter: he was the most complete 5 tool player in his younger years (yes, better than Griffey ever was -- the stats don't lie), and commanded the strike zone with unprecedented vision and power during his latter years. Also, we'd be remiss if we failed to mention that BB had his most mind-numbingly historic seasons in a ballpark that was, and still is, the toughest in the majors for lefties to hit dongs. In conclusion: he was fast as a Pirate and undoubtedly a god among men. Steriods or not, Espn, we couldn't give a fuck.
